How this is worked out
- Source: monthly clicks in this site’s Google Search Console, 16 full months (Jul 2025 to Oct 2026). Part months at either end are left out.
- Method: a straight line fitted through those months, adjusted for each calendar month’s usual high or low. Most months have been seen only once, so that adjustment is applied at half strength (two thirds where a month has been seen twice), so a one-off spike is not repeated in full.
- Range: -15% to +25% around the expected figure, for slower or faster work than the past suggests. Not a statistical confidence interval.
- Not included: algorithm updates, site migrations, new competitors or a change in what we work on. Any of these can move the result outside the range.
